| Dear netters,
A nice opportunity to write letters to each other. Let's write letters to our American friend Mr.Jim. he used to be a teacher. And though he is retired now, he is still interested in what is going on at school, and especially at a foreign school. I know he will be glad to receive letters from you and answer them. Good luck! Wednesday,September 18st
Dear Mr. Jim,
My summer holiday went good.
In the first month I went for a walk, playing
computer games, went to cinema, playing football.
In the second month my family
and I went to the Black Sea on a car, I made new friends, swimming, merry and of course rested.
In the third month I was more
prepared for the school year, went shopping, buying school uniforms, pens,
pencils, textbooks, notebooks.
Sometimes I and my family rode
to river, fished, swam, ate kebabs and fish.
How did you spend your summer? What
do you remember most?

Monday,September 30th
Dear mr. Jim,
I was in Moscow two month ago.I had a good time with my parents. On Monday we went to the Red square.We saw the sights and bought souvenirs.
Moscow is a great city!
The next day we went along Moscow river.Later we went home.
After Moscow we with my parents was in country.
I went on the river and swim.

I had a nice summer too. I like to feed the
birds and other animals like squirrels and rabbits.
I like to go camping out in the woods and be with
nature.
Now am getting ready for Fall season.

Moscow sounds like a great place to visit.
I too would like to go there one day and
see all the sites of beauty and history.
I too like to go to the country and spend
time with nature and be by the water.
I like to watch the birds and other animals

Dear Mr.Jim,
Hello, my name is Nastya. I study in the 6th form.
This summer I rested in the camp and stayed in the city too. I like to rest in camp,because I meet new friends and during 3 weeks I stay in nature. In camp I take part in diffrent concerts and draw funny pictures. In the city I always play computer games, walk with friends, go to the cinema with my elder brother Danila and play with my little sister. Her name is Vasilisa and she is very funny and mary.
How did you rest this summer? Write me back,please.

I'm Happy you enjoyed your summer and hope you have a great year in

I too enjoy being out in nature, the woods and by the lakes and rivers.
I also like to watch Football and Hockey. Also the Olimpics when they are on.
I understand soon the next one will be in Russia. That is exciting to be sure.
I hope your school year goes well and you enjoy your lessons in English.

Sounds like everyone had a great Summer and with
Fall now in season I hope you enjoy the beautiful
leaves and colors they provide.
Here in Minnesota we too have Fall. Some of the
leaves are turning color but it has not got cold enough
for the bright colors to appear. You are a little ahead of
us in that season.
Soon Winter will be upon us and we will enjoy another
kind of beauty and miracle of nature. All the seasone
have their special message and gift to us. I hope you
enjoy them all.
I also hope you enjoy your school year and you especially
enjoy your lessons in English.
Feel free to write any time and I will answer. I always look
forward to hearing the news from my dear friends in Russia.

I have written you a few letters. I am trying a different way your
teacher suggested..
If you received my other letters then we are good. If you haven't
then I want to be sure and wish you a good year and hope all your
hopes and dreams come true.
I'm happy you had a good Summer. I too like nature, the water, and

I hope the second session has started well and you are continuing to learning lots more English.
I am sorry for the delay in responding. Yesterday I could not get into the web site. This morning
I am able to.
The word "Halloween" and its origin goes back many centuries but the more modern tradition is
broken down into two words. Hallow: meaning "holy" and "ween" meaning "eve"or evening.
It is a tradition that remembers those who have gone before us and recognizing those special
holy people who have gone before us called saints.
American children celebrate this evening by going trick or treating. This is done by dressing
in costume of some famous person in the past and going door to door and saying "trick or treat"
The children always get a treat, usually candy or fruit. The adults do not want a trick played on
them. Later in the evening, adults sometimes have their own costume party. The day after on
November 1st, everyone goes to church and remembers all their families and friends who have
died, and also the Saints.
I hope this tells you about the meaning of the word "Halloween" and some history about this
special celebration. The next special day celebrated in America is "Thanksgiving on November 28th.

My name Andrew.I am 12. These holidays I went to the country to my grandparents'. In the country I helped my grandma in the garden.My grandpa and I went fishing in the river Volga.
In the town I went to the cinema,to the zoo,to the aqua park and at home I played computer games.
In the cinema I saw a new film,,TOR 2,,.This is a very interesting and fantastic film. I like this film.
In the zoo I saw a tiger,a lion, a bear, a crocodile. And I took photos in the zoo.These photos are in my album.

Thank you for your most interesting letter. I enjoyed it very much. I too enjoy
gardening and growing different kinds of fruits and vegetables. I have apple trees
and ruhe barb plants. The harvest is now finished and time for cleaning up the yard
and raking the leaves. I like to work outside in the Fall. Soon Winter will come and
it will be snow shoveling time..First we will celebrate Thanksgiving. I will write and
tell you all about that soon.
In the mean time, I wish you a great school session. Your English is excellent! Keep
up the great work.
