Elizabeth was proclaimed queen on 6 February 1952 following the death of her father, George VI; she was formally crowned the next year, on 2 June 1953. Her husband, Prince Philip, comes from the royal family of Greece and was created Duke of Edinburgh prior to their wedding on 20 November 1947. | Daniel Defoe was a famous English writer.He wrote his world famous novel "Robinson Crusoe",when he was nearly 60 years old.Daniel Defoe wrote many other books.He published more then 250 works.
The story of Robinson Crusoe was based on the real adventures of a sailor,who had lived alone some years on a desert island.Robinson is brave,clever and hard-working,what helped him to survive alone.Some time later our hero found a friend,whom he names Friday.
The novel is world famous,beautiful,very interesting and exciting. 
Yes, right you are. have you seen the film? Do you know any other books of Daniel Defoe? But it goes without saying that this book is the most famous.

| Lewis Carroll and His Literary Success
Lewis Carroll was an unusual man who led three lives. One was the life of a mathematics don at Oxford University. He loved the subject he taught but his students found him humourless and dry. In his second life he was a child photographer. But he is best remembered as the author of the wonderful book that is read and enjoyed by children and grown ups all over the world. The title of the book is “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”

| I'd like to tell you about a tennis player,Pat Rafter.Many journalists say he is a very successful player.He works a lot for this.He began playing tennis at the age of 5,although he was very short.His friends called him Shortie.He was born in Australia in 1972.He has 8 sisters and brothers.Pat loves chocolite and eats it a lot.He is a chocoholic.
Do you play tennis yourself? Are there any good sport clubs for big tennis in our town?

| I want to tell you some words about Peter the Great.He was one of the most outstanding rulers and reformers in Russian history.He became Emperor in 1721.He was a healthy,energetic and clever man.He was famous for drawing Russia further to the East.He transferred the capital from Moscow to St. Petersburg.He introduced western tecnology and changed the Russian government and millitary system.I think he was really great.

| As I'm interested in figure skating I'll tell you about a famous Russian figure skater Arthur Gachinsky.Although he is only 18 he won the Bronze medal in the World Figure Skating Championship in 2011.At the age of 5 he roller skated.Then he started figure skating.Now he lives in St.Petersburg and his coach is Aleksey Mishin.As for his character he is strong willed,courageous and merry.To my mind he is the best sportsman)))
And this year he has won the Silver Medal in the Europe Figure Skating Championship.

Wrote poems and short stories, sending them in various magazines under a pseudonym Lewis Carroll. Since 1854 of its work began to appear in serious English editions.
